• We are cancelling our worship and meal Sunday, Feb.7. “Souper Bowl” Sunday is re-scheduled to next Sunday, Feb. 14. We are collecting canned goods for the local food bank through the month of February and you are invited to bring items next Sunday. Ilusion Estrada is cooking soup and we will share a basic lunch of soup and chips after worship. You are also welcome to bring soup for lunch to share with others. Please let Ilusion know if you can help.
• On February 14, we are also bringing items for Haitian Hygiene and Baby Kits, and we will prepare those for shipment after lunch. The collection continues however, as there is great need in Haiti for such items. You may continue to drop donations (kit items and/or money) off at the church and we will assemble and ship more kits in the future. • If you would like to nominate a person (yes, you can nominate yourself) to serve as an Elder or Deacon in 2010, please contact Ted Bittner. We are using the 2009 server schedule until we have our board and congregational meetings.
• A big thanks to Stan and Shelby Johnson for providing for the cleaning of our church building for Jan. & Feb. You may sign up for any week during the rest of the year.

• The church is collecting current contact information for members for our updated directory listing. If you have not yet giving Larry your information, please do so ASAP.
• Renovations to the church look wonderful and are ongoing! Donations of time and/or money are welcome/needed. Please contact Stan or Larry for more information.
• PSCC will again be collecting food for the Emergency Food Bank. Look for the donation area in the entryway. Please give food or toiletries whenever you can. A list of most needed items is available at church or you may download one here.
• We recently formed a second Women’s Circle that will meet during the day! Our next meeting is at Park Street Christian Church. Please bring your own lunch. Drinks will be provided. Please contact Ruth Rosene (971-4740) for more information.
• Children’s Church Teachers and Acolytes are needed. Please contact Susan Hastings (984-3714) if you or your child(ren) can help.• The Bible Study Group will resume soon. Contact Larry for details.
PARK STREET CHRISTIAN CHURCH NEEDS YOUR HELP!
We have a number of areas of our church life and ministry in which we need help from our church family. Many of these volunteer areas can be done by one or two individuals, or an entire family. Please prayerfully consider serving in one of the following areas:
BUILDING CLEANING AND SET UP Our church building needs to be cleaned (hall and sanctuary cleaned and rugs vacuumed, bathrooms and kitchen swept and mopped, windows wiped) and the chairs need to be set up in our sanctuary each week between Friday, 4 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. This responsibility takes approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours a week. There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board, and we are happy to announce that volunteers have already covered this responsibility through April. Please talk to Stan Johnson (960-4104) for more information.
WORSHIP We need several volunteers to help organize persons assisting with our church worship, including song leaders, Scripture readers, acolytes, etc. Please talk to Cheryl West-Knight (293-7750) or Larry Hastings (984-3714) if you are interested.
PRESCHOOL We need a committee of at least 3 persons to work with Angie Taylor, Preschool Director, in reviewing the policies and procedures of the Preschool and serving as a liaison between the Preschool and the Executive Committee. Please talk with Elizabeth Loring (979-5896) if you are interested.
HOSPITALITY Volunteers are welcome to bring snacks, drinks, communion elements, serve coffee, etc. on Sunday mornings. Please talk with Ted and Glenda Bittner (979-3889) if you are interested.
NURSERY/CHILDREN’S CHURCH Volunteers are needed each Sunday to serve in our church nursery and lead our children in children church on Sunday mornings during our worship hour. Please talk with Susan Hastings (984-3714) if you are interested.
YOUTH We are grateful to Robert Sharp for volunteering as Director of our Church Youth Group, grades 7 – 12, and Robert (295-3545) is happy to talk with you if you are interested in helping with our church youth.
CHURCH YARD We need one or two volunteers once every 4 to 6 weeks who will pick up the litter along the road and our church property on Park Street. You need to use caution since there is very little room between our yard and the road, and it is a good idea to wear something bright for drivers to see. Please let Larry (984-3714) know if you are interested.
LAWN MOWING takes approximately 4 hours on our riding mower, and an additional 30 minutes or so around the shrubs in the front of the building with the push mower. Please let Stan Johnson (960-4104) know if you are interested.
